Sample Source package - Part 1

My goodies from Sample Source! - Part 1

In case you don't know, Sample Source is a site where you can sign up to request to try free samples of many different products. They offer different products at different times. And best part is, it's completely free! Just register, and you're good to go.

Now, on to my products...

First up, is the Flax Plus - Pumpkin Flax Granola. I only got to try a little, thanks to my husband taking it and finishing it off. But, from what I tried, it wasn't too bad. It must have been good for him to eat all of it. :)

Would I recommend this? Yes. Would I buy it? Yes.

The vitamins. I received the Hair Skin Nails gummies, and the Sundown Naturals Adult Multivitamin. I did not like either of them. They both had a very weird texture, and horrible taste. Especially the after-taste. I was disappointed. But, it happens.

Would I recommend or buy these? No... unless you can get past the texture and taste.

If you received a Sample Source box, comment below and let me know what you think! Or, if you use these, let me know your thoughts!

Keep a look out for the next part of the samples!

Recipe :: vitamin water (pt 3)

Kiwi Peach Water

Yeah, I' becoming addicted to this stuff. This time, I added 2 peaches, half squeezed lemon, and 3 kiwis. Mmmm! So good! I love I'm drinking water even more now than I was before. I need to make some more. It's got in 2 days when I make it, haha.

What type of flavors would you mix and try?

Recipes :: vitamin water (pt 2)

I finished off my first batch pretty quick, so I made another one. This time, I had kiwi... so I made strawberry kiwi water, with lemon juice. Yummy! It's good!! I love I can make different flavored waters now. And I'm drinking a lot more water now. Good no matter how you look at it.

I used about a 10 strawberries - cut in strips, and two kiwis - also cut in strips. And then used half a lemon and squeezed the juice out.

I think my next mix will have pineapple, since I have one in the fridge I need to cut up and use. Might add some cucumber slices too. Have you made any yet? What fruits/veggies did you use?

Recipe :: natural vitamin water

I love flavored water. So why pay lots of money for the ones sold in stores with extra stuff added that your baby doesn't need? Make your own! Fresh fruits add natural sweetness and beautiful colors to your plain water.

I made my first batch with apples, oranges, and strawberries. It's what I had at the time, haha. And no herbs. Didn't have any, at the moment.

Ingredients
1 quart filtered water
1-2 cups fruit/veg (strawberries, oranges, watermelon, cucumber, etc.)
2-3 tablespoons fresh herbs (mint, rosemary, lavender, etc.)
ice

Instructions
1. Slice fruit into very thin slices and add to a large pitcher.
2. Lightly smash them with a wooden spoon to help release their juices.
3. Gently bruise the herb leaves and add to the pitcher.
4. Add ice, then fill pitcher with water.
5. Allow to infuse for at least 3-4 hours, or overnight.
6. Water will stay fresh in the fridge for up to 3 days.
