Boys Will Be Boys
We got them both a new toy the other day. Little man found the baby's new toy and started playing with it. Ok, no problem... until baby boy notices. Then he's screaming because he wants his toy. So I break it up and remind little man he has a new toy, also. Everything should be great now, right? Haha, no! Baby boy then wants his big brother's new toy, so they start to fight over it. A 3 year old and a 10 month old... fighting over toys. What will I do when they get older? When they become teens? Oh geez. I'm trying hard to help teach them now to share. For the baby, it's a bit hard... but little man is starting to get the idea and has been doing a bit better on sharing. But he has some toys that are special to him he refuses to share, so I tell him to keep them in his room so the baby can't get them.
Sometimes I wonder... if I had gotten a girl like I wanted when I first realized I was pregnant with #2, would it be different? My brother and I are the same age difference as my boys... we never had this problem. But maybe because it was a boy/girl, whereas these are boy/boy.
Anyways... I love my boys. I'll take, and handle, whatever they throw at me. :)
A few times I've gone out, I've had ladies ask me a question that I don't see how they could even think would be true: "are your boys twins?" I can't help but look at the tall boy standing next to me and the chubby baby in the stroller before looking back at them confused if they are talking to someone behind me. After confirming no one is behind me, I realize they are speaking to me. I smile nicely and say no. I just find it funny. I don't see how anyone could look at them and ask that. But then again, I'm not a stranger seeing them for the first time... so maybe? I don't know.

I've been following you for a few weeks now. :) I've been linking up to Monday Mingle for awhile. I usually get too busy on Fridays - with hubby being off - and forget to link up to Favorite Product Fridays. I'll go do it now. :)
DeleteI swear, people don't think sometimes. I actually have twins and if I had a quarter for everytime someone asked if they were... I'd be rich. My favorite is when they would ask my husband if he was the father. I finally got to the point I'd say "No, they are my boyfriend's."
ReplyDeleteYour kids are adorable!

LOL!! Wow! My in-laws joke about the kids belonging to another man since they're white, unlike their dad (he's Peruvian)... but I've never had others ask that. I guess they just automatically assume they're not his, haha. That's rude to ask that though. True or not, you don't ask something like that.
DeleteThanks! And following you back!
