Excitement wives/moms understand...

When you become a wife/mommy, you change. You get excited over things that you once made fun of other wives/moms about. When you're young and single, you think, "How can they get excited over a bath?" You don't realize it cause you can take a nice hot bath in peace whenever you want.

This week, I was one of those wives/moms to get excited over something most wouldn't.

Tuesday: I'm driving home from a doctor check-up and near my house, they finally put a sign up to what the new building will be; Aldi. I was flipping out! I never thought I'd get so excited over a grocery store.

Yesterday: My dryer died sometime ago. So we finally got a new one. After not being able to dry laundry for awhile, I was thrilled to get to do laundry again. Although the machine my husband picked confuses me a bit, since it's not a basic model like my old one (seriously... does anyone even use ALL the buttons and features on advanced models? I just want to dry clothes - plain and simple).

It amuses me the things I once got excited about are things I never pay attention to anymore since becoming a wife/mom. Not saying it's a bad thing. Just amusing.

What type of things get you wives/moms excited about, that didn't before?

That's My Son :: 001

So Tuesday, Little Man and I made our way to the store. He's a good helper when we go and is always well-behaved. We get what we need and head to baby things. We go to the wipes isle and I say, "we need to get some wipes." I grab the wipes and toss them in the cart. As soon as I did that, he looks at me and yells, "YAY!!" doing the same look he's doing in the picture above. Two women were in the isle with us, and they busted out laughing, saying, "someone must have really needed wipes!" I couldn't help but laugh, as well.

That's my son... haha!

Embarrassing moment (I Did That :: 001) - and cookies!

Ever have one of those moments you want to hide in shame?
I did today.
I had to get milk and a few other things, so I took Little Man with me. We did our shopping, acted goofy, and laughed. We get to check-out, and he says he lets me know he needs to go potty. I looked at him, "Ok, we're almost done here, then we'll go to the bathroom, ok?" He agrees and waits. We finish up, and I rush over to the bathrooms with him so he won't end up peeing in his pants. I park the cart right by the bathroom and go inside. As soon I we walk into, I notice something doesn't feel right. I look up and right there is a grown man standing, using the bathroom. I pull Little Man back and say, "I think we're in the wrong one..." As we're walking out, I look at the sign - which I could have sworn said WOMEN - that says MEN. I say, "Crap! We did go in the wrong one! Oh my gosh!" As I say that, I'm turning my focus back to in front of me, when I suddenly jump because of a huge tall guy standing in front of me, laughing and smiling. Then he says, "And here I thought I was going in the wrong one!" I turned like 10 shades of red, which made him laugh even more! Oh my gosh, I was so embarrassed, I wanted to throw a bag over my head! What a trip.

So to make up a crazy trip to the store, Little Man and I made cookies! No, not homemade. That's one homemade I can not do. I can never made good homemade cookies. Or make the ones where you add the ingredients to it. Only kind I can make decent cookies out of, are the ones already premade - just cut and back. I wish I could make homemade cookies. But I just can't. So anyways... here's pictures of the cookies and Little Man enjoying them.

And to make things even, here's Baby Boy!

What a night...

Needless to say, I got little sleep last night. Joey decided to wake up around 2 AM and not go back to sleep. Since Sergio had to get up early this morning and work a full day, I got up with him. I tried getting him back to sleep after an hour, but didn't work. I lifted him more than I should have because I started cramping which made me "hug" my toilet some. I laid on the couch as he played with his cars. Finally, around almost 5 AM, he was ready to go back to bed. It's bad enough I have trouble sleeping as it is... then add Joey and being pregnant... not a good mix, haha.

Today, I've been trying to take it easy. Slowly cleaning my kitchen, constantly picking up toys, and resting so the cramps don't get too worse. I'll be glad to get to bed tonight and hope Joey does better.

Tomorrow, is Story Time at our library. I've been wanting to go anyways to check out some books for myself (haven't been there yet), so I figured I might as well try and see how Joey likes the Story Time. I need to go grocery shopping tomorrow as well. Sergio goes to work at 5 PM, so he'll be home to help out with Joey.

I want to try updating/finishing my personal site, so I might try doing that some tomorrow when Joey naps.
