Get baby powder to remove sand:
- Pour ample amount of baby powder into hands.
- Rub hands together and “wash” them like you would soap and water.
- Tada! Great when taking kids along and when you snack, so you don't taste sand. It can also be used anywhere on the body to remove sand.
Beach Tips:
- Always have plenty of sunscreen to reapply often, especially with kids.
- Take a cooler full of cold drinks; water, juice.
- Take some snacks - someone always gets the nibbles.
- Use an empty container, like a cleaned out lotion bottle, to hold your phone/keys/etc - that way, they won't get covered in sand.
- Don't forget the baby powder!
- Have plastic bags or containers in the trunk to put the wet/sandy things when leaving.
- Take toys, a music box, books - depending who all is going.
- Take a first-aid kit - bandaids, lip balm, alcohol wipes, etc.
- Use hats to keep your scalp from burning.
- Chairs and an umbrella are nice to have.
