Kid Stuff (#1)

An empty box of diapers can be useful? My little man figured out how. He emptied the box, then asked me to put his baby brother in it. So I did, and then he climbs in the box, too. As you can tell, baby boy was loving it. So is the little man, but couldn't catch his smile fast enough.

I've been wanting to get some kind of pet for my little man, since my husband won't let us have a dog or cat (he doesn't like animals, even though I come from a family were we adore our pets more than most people, haha). So I figured, why not a fish? With a fish, I won't have to worry about it getting lost in the house or biting one of the boys. So Saturday night, we went and got him a betta fish, and he loves it! We still haven't figured out a name yet. Trying to come up with something easy, and from a cartoon or movie he loves. We'll see. But he's a pretty fish; black and blue, but two front fins are red. PetSmart has them on sale for $1.99. Not bad.

What was your first pet?
My parents got a dog - a chow - when I was 4 years old. So he was my first pet. Wonderful dog. He died back in 1999. My latest pet was a beagle, but she died earlier this year. In between them, I've had fish, hamsters, and chinchillas. And my family has a cats. I would like to have a dog again, but then again, I don't. I don't want to deal with the loss. It hurts me too much.

  1. Hi! I'm a new follower from the Naptime Review blog hop...there have been many times that we have used the diaper box as a car and we were also thinking about getting a family fish..your post just reminded me of that :)

    1. Thanks! Following you back. :)

Haha, glad I reminded you. My son just loves and checks on it constantly. We decided to name him Nemo, since he loves "Finding Nemo".

  3. Give my daughter a big box and she's entertained for hours lol.

That's a really pretty fish, I was thinking of getting one, but we decided on a hamster. Should have been a fish though because this hamster is not very friendly!

    1. My older son takes any box he can find, haha.

Thanks! I thought about getting a hamster, but with my oldest still being young (he just turned 3), I didn't want him trying to hold it, pick it up, or even pet it and the hamster bite him. Maybe when he's older. I want to get a dog, but my husband kinda hates dogs/cats. So I doubt that ever happens.
